At around 8pm Eastern, the twitterverse collectively realized it was the one year anniversary of David Archuleta's Crush album. The trend started with @Markallanbambao's birthday tweet:♪ hehehe... It's my Birthday today & you know what? It's also a 1st anniversary odf David Archuleta's "Crush"..
And took off from there, rising rapidly over the next several hours as amazed fans pushed it higher up the trends list.
When first released, the single "Crush" made it to the #2 spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #7 on the Canadian Hot 100.

we love david even more today than we ever thought possible. this young man has achieved so much in one year's time, his growth as a singer and an artist has been remarkable. crush will always be considered ''sacred'' to archuleta fans, because it marked the beginning of david's rise, and showed the world he was and remains one of the best pop male voices in the business. if not the best male pop voice in the business. congrats david - your fans the world over are still ''crushing'' on you.
